Day One: Around Here

안녕하세요.

my very first time taking qantas airways. 18 years or so so of travelling on local SIA airlines. *well, there was once on malaysian airways* oh well, there were differences that were almost too undesirable and troublesome. but overall it was an a-okay flight. i survived. we (5) survived the flight safe and sound. the food was okay but i like the breakfast it was niice. but the bad thing was i had trouble trying to get some sleep. i think i got an hour worth of nap *tired*.

do you know that my luggage is a pain in the back, as in physically and literally, pain in the back. it is like soo heavy. haha! even the guys say so. theirs were like less than 20kg or so each. whoa! everything throughout the checking during arrival at brisbane airport went smoothly. *shh! safe!* meet mr. mike or mike ? how should i address him. hmm.. let's just go with mike. he's a very nice guy. we got to take the air-train. then, a taxi to go to our apartment. throughout the journey, we learnt quite a numerous info about brisbane vs. singapore. interesting.

the apartment is so new. was officially opened on april 2008. ooh yeah. we got our keys and cards each. and off we went to see our rooms. i got room no. 1, the good thing: its on the entry level, beside the toilet, the not good thing: kitchen is on level 2. wa. if i got hungry, i have to go all the way up to get food. boo!

a summarized of what happened after that:
(1) we set the bed/unpack our luggages.
(2) got an hour or 2 worth of rest/nap.
(3) made our way aroud to the campus village and attacked the woolworths (supermarket). we bought TONS of things. and really, TONS of things, but it is essential, well 90% of it. 10% is likely my snacks like chocolates. hahaha!
(4) despite being hungry, we had to head back to the apartment to organize the things we bought.
(5) went out again, got our tokens for internet usage. went to the campus village and bought fish & chips *take-out*.
(6) went back to the apartment to have our lunch-dinner.

so now, we are basically doing our own stuffs. i am updating the blog and made a mistake by watching a drama series *long story*.

did you know night-time is freezing shits. like seriously. its freezing popstickles! now, my room window is closed, but it is still a lil too cold, even though im wearing a hoodie over my shirt. i even wore socks! my toes are like turning blue. omg. its like suffering from cold. poor things. hahaha!

tmr will be an intro day to attachment, where mike will bring us to QUT to get our student IDs. *cool or what* we will be (unofficially) QUT students. whoa. diploma have yet to finish, can become a university student.

p/s: pictures will be upload on the next entry. even though josias' camera pictures would have a 10x better quality pictures but something wrong that he can't upload it up to the computer. *sad* but i got some pictures too. it will do.

ok. i am hungry now. *heh*

Pre-One: Night Flight

i have to admit, the thought of being away in a foreign country for 3 months is really a scary thought, though it is really a good opportunity to be doing overseas attachment with QUT. i was so nervous. i had never travelled overseas without my mom or any close relatives, neither ever with school or friends. i had thoughts like "what if i screw up? what if i can't cope?" those kind of things. but, since i got the chance, might as well "aja! aja!" go for it. do my best and such.

i never really thought that most of my relatives would be sending me off. it is afterall just a 3 months trip, not 3 years. i am "touche" touche! i thought i would have cried during my departure, but whoa, i am going strong so far. haha. but i miss my oka-san! my oto-san! and my family the most. boo! *sniff*

i would like to leave my dearest dumb blonde a lil note *if you are reading this, pls do though*:
(1) wow. i seriously never thought you would have cried. like seriously. omg. i am touched. *full of emotions* but you are still annoying. hahaha. but i still love you dumb shit friend. haha! miss me? email me ok? or... see me on msn, that is if you go on msn la. same goes to anyone else. hehe. cause you never know, i might be missing you too.
(2) yo ry. thanks for your.... writing/note/pic/drawingblock. nice =) appreciate it alot, but still annoying. hahahaa!

to ery, ran, huda, qai, des, joti, yan, etc.. thanks for the safety & misc wishes that came with it. haha!

p/s 2: in any case you are wondering (last pic)what the potato chips is that. it is actually, me trying to take a picture with ery but she was so flustered and pushed the camera away. and that was the only pic of me & ery that night. i planned to take tons with ery but (1) she was late (2) she was a lil too flustered. aww! oh well.

note: according to Singapore time, i would most prolly be online on msn from 6-8PM or maybe 9PM. wait. i am not pretty sure yet. i guess, i will update on that again soon. *pfft*
